Strokes of light

Javier Rodríguez Corpa alias “Jr Korpa” was born in Madrid year 1974 with a happy childhood with his parents who educated him values and loving nature. Korpa studied elementary and middle school. His love and curiosity for the aesthetic of an image and how to write a song led him, first, to study piano and harmony and second, to be a movie and news editor which is his current work on a television. One of the most important things for him and has changed his life is the food “What we eat changes everything” says from his own experience. 

Jr’s father was a lover of photography and learned him how to use the analog camera and the experimentation began from that moment deforming celluloids, painting with tea for change the toning, even built a small Pinhole camera. 

Today he lives in a small village on the Costa del Sol with his daughter and continues composing music. When he makes trips, combines tourism and hobby by shooting photographs. People who have influenced in his life are: Kim ki-duk, Jiddu Krishnamurti, Arnold Ehret, Oscar Wilde, Wim Mertens, Martin Gore, Till Lindemann, Anton Corbijn, Mantak Chia, Osho, Robert Moog, Morrisey, Spike Joze, Ridley Scott, David Icke, Jean Luc de Meyer, Fritz Lang, Anne Clark, Robert Smith, Akai S 3000, Kandinsky, Ralph Hutter, Michael Kenna, Alexander Rodchenko, Jackson Pollock, Nikola Tesla, and more…
